These measures include:

  • Using disinfectant hand soap
  • Wearing gloves, masks, glasses and/or face shields
  • Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
  • Sterilization of all non-disposable instruments and equipment before every use
  • Chemical disinfection of all items which cannot be sterilized
  • Use of disposable plastic coverings and sheath over surfaces with high contact such as the dental chair, equipment, air/water syringe and light handles.

Our Technology

An Intraoral Camera is a small video camera that takes pictures of the inside and outside of the mouth. It allows our patients to see exactly what we see during your examination in real time. It is a great diagnostic tool and a fantastic patient educational aid.

Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged, helping the dentist and dental hygienist detect problems more easily, and allowing us to show this to our patients. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.
